UNION PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Union Parish sheriff's deputies arrested two men over the weekend on drug-related charges.
After seeing two men doing what was termed "acting suspiciously", deputies called in the K-9 Unit. Sheriff Bob Buckley said the K-9 gave an alert on the passenger's side and again in the bed of the pickup. A search then turned up the drugs.
Two men were then arrested and booked into the Union Parish Detention Center. They were identified as 22-year-old Henry Michael "Hank" Lungsford, Jr., and 21-year-old Stacy L. Phillips, Jr., both of Bernice. Both are being charged with possession of marijuana, possession of Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $4,500 each.
