LILLIE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A two vehicle crash just north of Lillie, Louisiana has claimed the life of an Arkansas man.
State Troopers say their preliminary investigation in the wake of the crash indicates that a 2012 Ford 1-Ton driven by 27-year-old Shane Buras of Covington, Louisiana was traveling south on US Highway 167 in the left lane yesterday when it struck a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado in the rear that was traveling south on United States Highway 167 in the left lane driven by 54-year-old Lyndell Dismuke of Eldorado, Arkansas.
Dismuke suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at a hospital. Buras was properly restrained and did not report any injuries.
A toxicology sample was obtained from the drivers and will be submitted for analysis. Buras was cited with careless operation. The crash remains under investigation.
