MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Several lane closures that will likely affect drivers in this area have been announced beginning Monday the 23rd.
On Monday, the 23rd, the Bayou Macon Bridge on US 80 at the Madison/Richland Parish line will be reduced to a single lane of traffic beginning at 12:30pm and continuing until mid-afternoon. Traffic will be allowed in both directions through the use of flagmen.
On Tuesday, the 24th, the Eastbound outside lane of I-20 across the Mississippi River bridge will be closed from about 9am until 4pm. The maximum width for passing vehicles will be 12 feet. Then, the next day, on Wednesday, the 25th, the I-20 Westbound outside lane will be closed from 9am until 4pm with the same 12-foot maximum width for passing vehicles.
All of the scheduled lane closures are for routine maintenance.
