LITTLE ROCK, Ar., (KNOE 8 News) - Louisiana motorists headed North through Little Rock will be seeing delays along I-630 for the next three weeks or so.
Work was scheduled to begin this morning. The lane configuration will be adjusted during the work period so a pair of 500-ton cranes can be put in place to lift steel beams destined to support future "flyover" lanes currently under construction.
Highway officials say traffic on I-430 will narrow to one lane in either direction at times during the 20-day period. In all, there are to be seven lane configuration changes during the three-week stretch.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid the interchange by using alternative routes.
