Crime Stoppers: South 21st Shooting

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police need your help trying to solve this crime.

On Sunday, July 1, 2012 shortly after 9 pm, Officers with the Monroe Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of South 21st Street in regards to gunshots in the area. Officers who arrived at the scene found a green four door car parked in the street with the engine still running. A male was observed slumped over in the driver seat and was found to have been shot.

It appeared that some person fled from the car on foot prior to the officers' arrival. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
