EL DORADO, Ark. (KNOE 8 News) - Crews in Arkansas have contained a wildfire that began in Clark County . The blaze then made its way to hot spring county. Officials say the fire began around 1 in the afternoon Friday. The red cross established a shelter at a school, but as of 9 Friday night, the evacuees were told they could go back to their homes. The Red Cross is closing the shelter.

"The general planning that we try to do is we try to set up between 100 and 200 people at the minimum that we can accommodate. Some of our shelters are in the numbers of thousands that we can accommodate," Disaster Manager Jaison Scott said. "So, it just depends on what the space is. And when we set up a shelter, we look at: id it ADA compliant, are there enough rest rooms for everybody, are there any showers, are there any back up generators, those kind of things."

One man working the fire was injured, and was taken to a hospital for treatment. According the Arkansas Forestry Commission, the fire has destroyed two barns, a hay bailer, campers, and vehicles.
