MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - There is a disagreement between the city of Monroe and contractor Vanguard, when it comes to automated water meters being installed in the city.
The contract between the city and Vanguard was discussed at Tuesday night's city council meeting.
Vanguard says the project is 85% complete, something the city disputes and wants more clear answers about. City leaders also claim there are issues with many of the meters that have been installed.
Rod Washington, in charge of city public relations, has confirmed the Mayor will meet with all of those in charge of the water meter replacement project on the city side on Wednesday evening.
