OPSO deploy Swat Team to extract sexual assault suspect from residence

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News)- Approximately at 9 a.m. Friday morning, Ouachita Sheriff's office arrived at the scene at Sterling Oaks Estate in West Monroe of a possible sexual assault.
Park Manager, Marshall Wright said a man and resident of the trailer park reportedly attacked a woman in another trailer, then locked himself in his own residence. Police say information indicated that the suspect, 23 year old Arlon Shane Wilder, was armed. "Numerous attempts were made to get Wilder to exit the residence. Wilder did not exit the residence" an OPSO spokesman said.
The OPSO Tactical Unit was deployed and shot tear gas into the trailer. Wilder was pulled out of his residence and arrested and booked at Ouachita Parish Correction Center for originally one count of Simple Rape, but has since been updated to Forcible Rape after more information was collected.
