LEWISVILLE, Ar., (KNOE 8 News) - A-Pak-Co has announced its planning to buy the empty Falcon Products building in Lafayette County and hopes to begin operations by September.

A-Pak-Co manufactures products for the oil and gas industry and says when it reopens the old plant, it will be hiring approximately 30 employees locally.

According to company owner Frank Lofton, he sees an oil and gas drilling boom in that area soon, and expects to take advantage of the opportunity to produce equipment for holding and mixing chemicals for those companies.

It's also been reported that the Arkansas Economic Development Commission has agreed to provide a $570,000 loan and $67,100 grant to A-Pak-Co and Lofton to purchase and renovate the building.
