PLAQUEMINE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Police say one man was killed in a shooting at a Mardi Gras parade in Plaquemine, 13 miles out of Baton Rouge in Iberville Parish.

Plaquemine police Capt. Kenny Payne tells The Advocate that nobody else was injured in the 3:15p.m. shooting. He says police have a suspect. He wouldn't give the name of the suspect, who has not been arrested.

Payne says investigators don't know the shooter's motive.
