SHREVEPORT, La., (KNOE 8 News) - A study in Shreveport has recommended that LSU-Shrevport be moved into the University of Louisiana system.
One possibility resulting from such a move might be that LSU-Shreveport would become a campus of Ruston's Louisiana Tech.
LSU System President John Lombardi had said back in October that the LSU System had no interest in combining its Shreveport campus with Tech. He said the move was an attack on the LSU system's integrity.
A study commissioned by some Shreveport business leaders had proposed the move into the University of Louisiana system, saying that they had a concern that northwest Louisiana's needs in higher-education weren't being met.
