FARMERVILLE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A teenager from Marion was arrested after he was caught with a gun on the campus of Farmerville High School on Thursday.

Farmerville police say David Michael Bull, 17 was taken into custody around mid-morning without incident. Principal David Gray confirms that Bull is a former Farmerville High School student.

Bull arrived at Farmerville High on a school bus headed for the high school, adds Gray. Once on campus, Bull left and later returned.

"A student reported that the child had a gun.  A coach actually walked the child over to the gym and we talked to him. We had already called police and told them that there was a possibility of someone on the campus with a gun," says Gray.

Farmerville police chief Bim Coulberston says officers searched Bull and found an unloaded 38 caliber revolver in his waistband. Coulberston says Bull confessed to stealing the firearm from a local pawn shop.

Bull has been booked on charges of Carrying a Firearm on School Property, Theft of A Firearm, and Entering After Being Forbidden.
