START, La., (KNOE 8 News) - UPDATE: The exit ramp on I-20 at Start has now been reopened. The 18-wheeler was freed from the mud where it ran off the ramp, and the road cleared.

Early Tuesday, an 18-wheeler ran off an exit ramp and into deep mud near Start, effectively closing the I-20 exit ramp on the Westbound side of the Interstate.

State troopers from Troop F worked the accident and have since re-opened the ramp.
