NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's deputies, along with personnel with the Natchitoches Parish Coroners office are currently investigating what appears to be a double homicide.
According to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr., deputies were called to a scene on Vaughn Street in Campti, Louisiana early this morning after a passing motorist made a 9-1-1 call reporting a man down in the street. Sheriff Jones said deputies found Stanley Brimzy, 32 years old, deceased from a possible gun shot wound.
Sheriff Jones said deputies investigated throughout the morning, and shortly before noon, pedestrians on the railroad track a distance from the first homicide scene found the body of a second victim.
Sheriff Jones said the second victim not yet positively identified was found to have a gun shot wound. The identity of the second victim will be released at a later time. Sheriff Jones said autopsies will be performed in both homicides to gain more information.
