BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Dalton Fletcher's sister, Ashley Fletcher, took the stand Wednesday and said she saw her brother pull the trigger and kill their mother. She also told jurors her brother was not abused by their parents.

Several workers from the Ouachita Sheriff's Office testified in the Dalton Fletcher Murder Trial as well. The West Ouachita teen accused of killing Tammy and Johnny Fletcher sat next to his attorneys watching some of the pictures those witnesses who took the stand had taken on the day of the killings. Dalton Fletcher's parents were killed last year on September 9, 2010.

More than a year later, the jury saw Johnny Fletcher's body  lying on the kitchen floor of their West Ouachita home on MT. Vernon Road. The photo showed a bullet wound on the head and on his arm. During the testimony, Judge Daniel Ellender excused any of Fletcher's family members who couldn't bare to see the pictures.

Also, witnesses went through the pictures of Tammy Fletcher. Her body was found in the master bedroom, also with a bullet wound to the head. Prosecutors presented evidence of the empty bullet shells found in Dalton Fletcher's garbage can in his bedroom.

Investigators also confiscated a notebook from the house believed to have a suicide note from the teenager.

Earlier Wednesday, opening statements were presented to the jury. Prosecutors say Fletcher has a problem with rules and boundaries which lead to him killing his parents. Defense attorneys say the West Ouachita teen was abused physically and emotionally by Johnny Fletcher and the 16-year-old is innocent. Fletcher is charged with second degree murder and faces life in prison if convicted.
