Patrick came to the ArkLaMiss area in October 2011 from snowy Buffalo, New York, where he worked for a 24-hour local news channel.
He grew up in a small town near the border between Pennsylvania and New York, and went to college near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating he moved to Northern Ireland to earn his master's degree in journalism from the University of Ulster.
Patrick's been a news junkie since high school, when one of his teachers used to give out assignments that required students to find interesting news articles and write about them.
Now he's most interested in investigative stories, especially the ones that matter most to the community. He's looking forward to learning more about Monroe and the surrounding area and he can't wait to experience some good old Southern hospitality.
