MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Police are offering a reward for tips into a woman's murder almost 14 years ago.
The case of Brenda Newton has gone cold, and Monroe investigators hope offering the reward will get it re-opened.
Newton's body was found in a field in the 28-hundred block of Breard Street on November 21st, 1997.
It appears Newton was beaten to death.
All leads in the case have not panned out, so detectives are turning to you for help.
