Bodies Found in Tallulah

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Homicide detectives are investigating the discovery of the bodies of two females in Tallulah.

Louisiana State Police spokesman Mark Dennis tells KNOE 8 News that the bodies are those of two black females.  Dennis says homicide appears to be the cause of death in both cases. Their names and ages have not been released until their families are notified.

The first victim was found at about 8:30 Friday night in a wooded area.  The second was discovered Saturday morning, at Tallulah City Park.

Tallulah Police Department, the Madison Parish Sheriff's Department, the 6th District Attorney's Office and Louisiana State Police are all involved in the investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office at (318) 574-1831.
