WINNFIELD, La. (KNOE 8 News) – Troopers and other law enforcement officers made numerous arrests for drug related offenses Wednesday morning.
Last year, the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations with a growing drug problem in the parish. Troopers conducted an intensive 10-month undercover operation resulting in 29 warrants on drug traffickers for a variety of narcotic, weapon, and conspiracy charges.
Wednesday morning, troopers and other law enforcement officers executed numerous arrest warrants across Winn Parish for narcotics related offenses resulting in 20 arrests. In addition, drugs, weapons, and explosives were seized.
The following Winn Parish residents were arrested and booked into the Winn Parish Jail for the charges listed below:
Kendrick Fountain, 26; Distribution of crack cocaine
Timothy Norris, 33; Distribution of methamphetamine (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance (CDS) I, illegal possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute schedule II methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute schedule III hydrocodone
Casey Estes, 24; Distribution of CDS II (2 counts)
William Norris, Jr., 42; Possession of CDS II
Lester Barnes, 54; Distribution of crack cocaine
Jerry Pitman, 32; Distribution of CDS II methamphetamine (2 counts), possession of firearms and CDS, possession of CDS I marijuana, proceeds from illegal transactions, possession of CDS III hydrocodone
James Baxley, 52; Distribution of CDS II methamphetamine (2 counts)
Xavier Powell, 22; Distribution of CDS II
Tiffany Hall, 23; Distribution of CDS II
Lekendrick Lindsey, 26; Distribution of CDS III hydrocodone (2 counts), distribution of schedule IV, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obliteration of a firearm serial number

The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are expected.
The operation was a cooperative effort between the Louisiana State Police and the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office, LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Office, FBI Violent Crime and Narcotics Taskforce, U.S. Marshal's Service Taskforce, and the Louisiana National Guard. Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop E and the Louisiana State Police SWAT team also participated in this morning's operation.
