MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Monroe woman has been arrested after witnesses say she allegedly stabbed another person in the face.
Cyntoria Tippit was arrested by Monroe Police after they responded to a home in Monroe early Monday morning.
Witnesses say Tippit allegedly had a knife in her hand when she was fighting with the victim.
The arrest report says the victim had cuts on her face 1 inch wide, police say Tippit admitted to hitting the victim, but denies using the knife.
Police found the knife sitting in water in the kitchen sink.
Tippit is charged with second degree battery.
