SMOKED BBQ RUB (Fish And Shrimp




--SMOKED BBQ RUB (Fish And Shrimp)--




  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt  (OR TO TASTE)
  • ¾ Tbsp Paprika
  • ¾ Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
  • ¾ Tbsp Chili Powder
  • ¼ Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • ¨û Tbsp Cayenne Pepper (OPTIANAL)
  • 1 Lb Large Shrimp  (Peeled + Divined)
  • 1 Lb Catfish Cubed
  • 1 ½ Tbsp Vegetable or Canola Oil





--Cooking Instructions—

    1.  Mix all seasonings together in small containers (May be done in advance & stored in refrigerator for 1 week or in freezer for 6 months.)
    2.  You may prepare on a frill or in a cast iron skillet (High Heat)
    3.  Mix shrimp & fish in a large bowl & toss with oil. Sprinkle seasonings & toss. Add remainder of seasonings and toss again.
    4.  Place on grill or in iron skillet and stir until shrimp starts to curl & becomes opaque, Takes about 5-7 Mins. (DO NOT OVER COOK)
    5. May be served in Alfredo pasta or brown rice dish.
