Woman charged after kids test positive for cocaine

SHREVEPORT, La. (KNOE) - Police have arrested Clydetra Thomas after four children in her care were found with very high levels of cocaine in their systems.

The Shreveport woman was initially arrested in July when officers received reports of two children wandering into an intersection. Thomas was accused of child desertion. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services removed four children from the home after the incident. On September 17th, the department told the Shreveport Police Department all four children tested positive for high levels of cocaine.
