Sterlington Police are cracking down on drug dealers

STERLINGTON, La. (KNOE) - The Sterlington Police Department says they're cracking down on drug dealers.

They say they've gotten complaints about suspicious activities in parking lots of stores and restaurants.

Last week one call led to a drug-related arrest.

Now they're asking for more help from the community.

Chief Barry Bonner says it’s easy to spot. "It's like you see in the movies. A car pulling up, a hand goes in, a hand comes out and the car leaves,” he says. “It's one of those things if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck."

Bonner says you can call Sterlington Police and your tip will be anonymous.
