Union Parish Library spreading the warmth with blanket donation

FARMERVILLE, La. (KNOE) - The Union Parish Library in Farmerville is trying to spread the warmth this winter by collecting blankets to donate to the homeless.

They've been accepting new and gently used blankets since January 5, and they plan to donate them to the Desiard Street Ministries in Monroe. So far they've received 15 blankets.

If you want to help, you can drop off blankets during normal business hours, or you can come to the library between 2 and 4 p.m. on Monday, January 15 with three yards of fleece and help make blankets.

They say these blankets will go to both children and adults.
