WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - An 18 wheeler broke in half right next to the Stella Mills exit in West Monroe.
Detective Ray Spoon with the West Monroe Police Department tells KNOE that the truck was carrying too much weight, but the trucking company (Pardue Trucking) says the truck wasn't overloaded.
It says the company that loaded truck, loaded too much at the nose of the truck (closest to the cab).
The cause of this incident still isn't certain, but thankfully no injuries were reported.
There was a partial road block, but police directed drivers off of Stella Mills and back onto I-20.
