Reward offered for help in solving burglary cases

LINCOLN PARISH, La. (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department has responded to an increased number of vehicle burglaries during the month of May.

These burglaries are concentrated in the unincorporated neighborhoods of the parish, primarily occurring on the northern and eastern sides of the parish, with a couple reported to the southern portion of the parish.

Only one reported vehicle burglary has involved glass breakage, with
the remainder of the vehicles being unlocked at the time of the offense.

The suspect or suspects are taking anything of value, to include cash and firearms. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove any visible items of value. Ruston / Lincoln Crimestoppers (255-1111) will pay up to $2,000.00 for information leading to an arrest. Residents are urged to report anything suspicious by calling the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department at 251-5111 or simply by dialing 911 in the event of an emergency.
