Multiple agencies arrest 20 Winn Parish suspects in meth bust

WINN PARISH, La (KNOE) - More than a dozen people were arrested in a Winn Parish drug bust Tuesday morning.
The sheriff's office teamed up with the United States Attorney's Office and at least five other agencies to get the suspects behind bars.

The acting US attorney Alexander Van Hook said the FBI and the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 20 suspects in less than 30 minutes. The suspects were all brought in around 7 a.m.

"There were no labs. No one was injured. We didn't have any injuries to the arrestees or the officers. The arrest went very well. It was really well organized," Winn Parish Sheriff Cranford Jordan said.

Ten of the suspects face state charges and 11 face federal charges.

It took two years to arrest them all at once.

"Well, the next step is to give the defendants everything they need to get a fair trial. We'll begin working with their attorneys to give them discovery," Hook said.
