Monroe Wanted: Attempted second-degree murder suspect

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Police have identified a suspect in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in Monroe. Now they need the public's help to find him.

The Monroe Police Department is looking for 25-year-old Edzavion Miller.

According to Detective Chris Bates, the shooting happened around 11 pm Tuesday in the 2300 block of Desiard Street.

Witnesses told KNOE that the shooting happened at a night club called Tha Carter 2 Lounge. A resident who lives near the club described hearing 10-14 gunshots.

Detective Bates says the victim was shot multiple times and was subsequently treated at a local hospital for the injuries. Police did not release the name of the victim.

Edzavion Miller faces a charge of attempted second-degree murder.

Monroe Police also add:
"Any person who may have information regarding his whereabouts should contact the Monroe police department at 318-329-2600 or Crime Stoppers at 318-388-2274 (CASH). If your tip leads to an arrest and/or indictment, you will be eligible to receive a cash reward up to $2,000. Your information remains confidential; you never leave your name and you never appear in court."
