Man wanted in connection with Rayville murder has been arrested

RUSTON, La. (RICHLAND PARISH SHRIFF”S OFFICE PRESS RELEASE) -- May 17, 2017 at approximately 11:15 AM, Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana State Police Troop F conducted a traffic stop on LA Highway 594 at I-20. During this traffic stop an occupant of the vehicle was identified as Monteco K. Frost, B/M, DOB: 07/26/1995.

Frost was wanted out of Richland Parish for charges on a home invasion and homicide that occurred in Rayville, LA on the night of May 6, 2017. Frost was booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center and later transferred to the Richland Parish Detention Center.

Richland Parish Sheriff's Office had previously obtained warrants on Frost for Second Degree Murder, 3 counts attempted 1 st degree Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, and Home Invasion.

Richland Parish Sheriff Gary Gilley thanks all the local law enforcement agencies who have been pursuing Frost and is thankful no one was hurt during the manhunt for him and during his apprehension.
