Man dead after accident at Voith building in West Monroe

WEST MONROE, La. (WMPD) A man is dead after he was crushed by a roller at the Voith building in West Monroe.

WMPD says they received a call around 6:50am Saturday morning about a traumatic injury at Voith.

When police arrived, they say 43-year-old Toby Ray was dead, after one of the 45,000-pound rollers at the plant slipped and crushed him.

Police say they do not expect foul play, and the death is being considered an accident.
