MONROE, La. (KNOE) A Monroe man was arrested after police say he threatened to rob a bank, told the teller he was joking, and then walked out.

Police say Dustin Greer walked into a local bank and gave the teller a note that said, "Give me all your money and I have a knife." He then allegedly took the note back, told the teller he was joking, and withdrew some money from his own account. Police say Greer then left the bank.

Police say they found Greer at a different address, and he told them he was joking and "always flirts with that teller."

Greer was arrested and charged with one count of felony attempted armed robbery.
