MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A Hard Freeze Warning has been issued for all of northeast Louisiana until 12pm Tuesday, January 2.

Temperatures will fall into the teens and lower 20s across much of the Southern U.S. late tonight and we will barely get above freezing Monday and Tuesday.

Precautions should be taken to protect pipes and provide warm shelter to plants and pets tonight, and Monday night. Prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia and may harm pets and livestock.

By Monday morning, single digit wind chills will be likely as well.
