Flooding reported along many roads in Winn Parish

WIINN PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Recent rain has caused major flooding problems along some roads in Winn Parish.

According to current data maps provided by the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation, several roads are affected by flooding with portions of at least two roads closed.

The map indicates closures in the following areas

*LA 34 - Between US 84 (near Winnfield) and Welcome Home Road (6 miles north of the Winnfield area).

*LA 499 - Between LA 34 (11 miles south of the Sikes area) and LA 126 (Sikes).

The map also indicates flooding is affecting the following areas

*LA 34 - Between Miller Road and Parish Road 153 (2 to 8 miles north of the Winnfield area).

*US 167 - Between Johnson Road (near Winnfield) and Yancy Edmonds Rd (2 miles south of the Jonesboro area).

*US 167 - Between Parish Road 154 (7 miles north of the Dry Prong area) and Parish Road 658 (near Winnfield).

*LA 472 - Between LA 500 and R Long Road.

*LA 156 - Between 1st (Calvin) and US 167 (near Winnfield).

*LA 501 - Between Parish Road 739 (near Winnfield) and Parish Road 410 (Calvin).
