Monroe, La (KNOE) - Different emotions pouring into a community Friday tonight.
Friends and the community came out to remember Jameon Coleman.
He was shot and killed on Gordon Ave.
That's where many come out for a candlelight vigil.
Balloons went up as tears came down.
Not everyone was sad.
One family member is outraged that another teen has been killed.
She believe all this can be avoided.
"We need to wrap our arms around our kids. They need us," Kamika Mitchell, Coleman's aunt, said. "They are dying everyday at an alarming rate. And, it's not going to stop until we as parents do something. It starts with us...it starts with us."
Coleman's funeral will be at Bethel Baptist Church in Monroe next Saturday.
Service starts at 1 p.m..
