Early Voting begins for April 29th elections

BATON ROUGE, La. (Secretary of State) - Early voting for Spring Municipal Elections begins saturday, April 15th, and continues through Saturday April 22nd, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, excluding Easter Sunday, April 16th.

Voters should utilize Louisiana’s award winning smartphone application, GeauxVote Mobile, to find out where to early vote as well as what’s on their ballot. In addition to a variety of local candidate and proposition elections in 46 parishes*, there is one open State Representative seat in Districts 8 and the primary election for Senate District 2 vacated by Troy Brown, which could be of regional interest. The runoff for Senate District 2, if necessary, is scheduled for Saturday, May 27th.

Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters’ Office or at other designated locations. For a complete listing of early voting locations visit:
