Monroe, LA (KNOE) - The purpose of the treasure hunt is to have a lot of fun searching out and finding the organizations for the social good in downtown Monroe, the treasures in our own front yard. The Childrens Coalition is working with the downtown revitalization organizers to bring people to the downtown area to show them how it is growing. The focus, however, is on social good. It's not really timed, so there is no need to rush around for this one.
The hunt is completely free, but there will be food vendors and many places in downtown Monroe that are participating where you can eat and find some treasures of your own! The only cost will be a few hours of time for the chance at great prizes and a lot of fun!
This is being organized by The Children's Coalition and great partners from the business community, such as IBM, Vantage, and TP Outdoors. IBM will be having a toy and supply drive for infants and toddlers and will be collecting these items at the Palace Park. There will be some great prizes donated by some sponsors, such as TP Outdoors, lots of swag, and some pretty good entertainment too!
