Debt Free with Kelly: Traditions and leaving a legacy

MONROE, La (KNOE) - Traditions are important because it gives us the time to appreciate and be thankful for family and the time we get to spend together. It helps bring us comfort during what can be a very chaotic time of year. That's why Kelly recommend leaving a legacy beyond money. I recommend that you write a letter to your child or grandchild on their birthday telling them about the year before. Make simple notes on a calendar throughout the year of the different things they do then write about them in the letter. You then can save the letters until the your child has a child then give them the letters. It will bring back memories and leaves a great legacy.

Actions speak louder than words, show your children how to manage money. Remember that they don't do as we say they do as we do! Teach them how to save and pay cash for your purchases and never carry a credit card balance. If you use discipline and do this you will forever be financially thankful and leave a great legacy!
