MONROE, La. (CITIES, News Release) - A Monroe group wants parents and youth to attend an event at Carroll High School Saturday designed to build relationships and break down barriers.
CITIES will host Real Talk, Conflict Resolution Session at Carroll High School 2939 Renwick Street Monroe, from 12 – 3 p.m.
CITIES is hosting this free event to engage parents and youth with necessary skills for creating self-efficacy in our community. The primary goal of the event is to build relationships and open the lines of communication between existing barriers which may have been formed by miscommunication and misunderstandings.
During the session, youth will engage in ways to redirect confrontational situations using conflict resolution strategies.
Parents will participate in a real talk empowerment forum to discuss issues, ask questions, and offer suggestions relating to barriers families face daily, all in attempt to make our communities better.

Resolution Session. Churches, sororities, fraternities, and community leaders are invited to bring youth groups and parents to this event.
The informal event will allow parents and children the opportunity to discuss issues that affect their families.
