MONROE, La. (North Central LA Arts Council News Release) - The Bridge Church in Ruston will host a production of Great Expectations, adapted from the Charles Dickens' classic by Cathy Airhart of CA Studio.
In the timeless story, a young boy is kind to a convict and the encounter changes his life. Great Expectations, 2017, is a modern multi-media production that combines film clips with theatre performances.
The production stars Jackson Culp of Sterlington as the older Pip and Sylas Slaughter of Ruston as the younger Pip. The cast includes Aubri Skinner of Ruston, Alyssa Nobles of West Monroe, Sam Coleman of Monroe, Kristen Nobles of West Monroe, Anna Jane Storms of Ruston, Bostyn Fisher of Ruston, Carrick Inabnett of Monroe, Jean Hartzog of West Monroe, John Denison of Monroe, Kade Matkins of Monroe, Dennis Hensley of West Monroe, Michael Tran of Monroe, Philip Medford of Monroe, Henry Medford of Monroe and Jeremy Dowdy of West Monroe.
Cathy Airhart Webb of CA Studio in Monroe directed Great Expectations, CeJay Gautreaux designed fight choreography, and Jackson Culp created film segments.
Performances will be in at the Bridge’s Downtown Campus, 500 W Georgia in Ruston on April 21 and 22nd, at Sterlington High School on April 24 and 25, and Lea's Restaurant in Monroe on April 28 and 29.
