NATCHEZ, Miss. (KNOE) - Authorities in Mississippi say a bookkeeper is accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from her former employer.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old Brittany Leigh Anders was booked Thursday on nine counts of embezzlement. Anders worked for Danny Smith Construction. They say that over the last two years, Anders opened several lines of credit without their knowledge or consent.

Anders is accused of opening credit with Chase, American Express, and Wayfair. Investigators say she's charged with embezzling more than $100,000 in funds.
