Boil Orders as of 8/17/2017: Sicily Island lifted

BOIL ORDERS IN EFFECT

The following boil orders were recently issued:

*New Hope St. Clair Water System in Ouachita Parish (Issued 8/6

These orders are in effect until rescinded.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it, making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation.

To disinfect, boil water for one full minute in a clean container. The minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean container or pouring it from one clean container to another.)
