MONROE, La (News Release) - Update: Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10am:
The boil advisory for the Bayou Macon Water System has been lifted.

Bayou Macon Water System is under a boil advisory due to the Town of Delhi repairing a water line.

This affects all of the Madison Parish and Franklin Parish customers on the Bayou Macon Water System.

This advisory is in effect until further notice.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

+ Boil water for (1) one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
