VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi baseball coach is offering a $100 reward in hopes of catching the culprits who vandalized a high school baseball field in Vicksburg.

The Vicksburg Post reports that a vandal or vandals entered Warren Central's Viking Field sometimes the night of Dec. 11 and painted a statue of a baseball player blue.

Conner Douglas, Warren Central's baseball coach, says he hopes those responsible are caught so that people don't start thinking such crimes are acceptable.

The Warren County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
