(KNOE 8 WEATHER) - There are some showers and storms popping up on radar this afternoon that we'll continue to monitor over the next few hours. We woke up to warm and muggy conditions this morning with most places in the mid to upper 70s. We Warmed up quickly today into the lower 90s this afternoon. We are also continuing to monitor the tropics as we go through the week because we have a 70% chance of development of a tropical Low near the Yucatan Peninsula over the next few days, and near the coast of South America we also have a 70% chance of development. Currently we're at 90 degrees here in the Twin Cities, with a southerly wind about 7 mph and dew points up in the lower 70s. Overnight tonight we'll only drop into the mid 70s with a chance for showers ramping up after midnight. Tomorrow expect highs to be around 86 with plenty of showers and storms throughout the morning and early afternoon. The next 7 days looks like we'll see high temperatures in the lower 90s with a slight chance for rain every day, mainly in the early to mid afternoon hours. Plenty of sunshine throughout the work week after that 60% chance of storms tomorrow, and those low temperatures are going to slowly creep back into the 70s by mid week.
