Chris Brown serves as Managing Editor and anchors KNOE 8 News weeknights at 5, 6 and 10.
An Emmy-nominated journalist, Chris Brown comes to KNOE as our 6:00, and 10:00 Anchor in July of 2015. He also serves as KNOE’s Managing Editor.
A native of North Carolina, Chris comes to us from Wilmington, NC where he was previously the Weekend Anchor for the ABC affiliate there.
The winner of more than 10 Associated Press awards for his reporting, Chris has been providing compelling news coverage for years; from the beaches of North Carolina as hurricanes bared down, to investigations that spawned more Congressional hearings about tap water safety at Camp Lejeune, to covering the war in Afghanistan from the front lines. In Louisiana, Chris was nominated for an Emmy award for his coverage of the historic flooding that hit the ArkLaMiss back in 2016.
Outside of work Chris enjoys cooking, volunteering and giving back to the community in any way that he can. That’s why he serves on the board of the Northeast Louisiana chapter of the American Red Cross.
Chris earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009. He’s excited to come even further south and to be able to call Monroe home.
