BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - People who bought health insurance through the marketplace created by the federal health care overhaul could face double-digit price hikes. Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon says the average rate increase planned in the state's individual market for health insurance next year is about 12 percent to 13 percent.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The only suspect arrested so far in connection with a deadly gunfight on New Orleans' Bourbon Street has made a brief court appearance with new lawyers. Twenty-year-old Trung Le remains in jail without bond on one count of first-degree murder in the June 29 shooting spree.

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A south Mississippi man is charged with capital murder in the slaying and sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl who was taken from an apartment complex last week. Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania says charges were filed Wednesday against 29-year-old Alberto Julio Garcia of Gulfport.

GRETNA, La. (AP) - A Jefferson Parish woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after admitting she set the fire at her bakery that killed a friend who helped her burn the business. Nola.comThe Times-Picayune reports 42-year-old Lesly Martinez pleaded guilty to negligent homicide and arson in the June 2013 fire at Lesly's Bakery.
