GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A Washington County Community Work Center inmate escaped from the facility.
Officials did not disclose how inmate Shannon Norwood escaped on Thursday.
Norwood was serving a 4-year sentence for three counts of grand larceny from Leflore County.
Norwood has brown hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos.
In 2000, he was convicted of burglary of a non-residential property in Leflore County. In 2004, he was convicted of the theft of 2 vehicles.
