He made a brief appearance Wednesday morning, telling reporters he had no idea so much effort was being put into his release. He didn't share anything about his two years in captivity, but promised to speak more after spending some time with his family. We'll look at the efforts to get him home, and what that means for others being held overseas.

He notes that a relatively small contribution can have a big effect on the families. About 2,000 children attended the Worldstar Foundation event.

The deadline to enter this Paws fundraiser and to vote on your favorite pet photo is Sept. 1. Photo entry fee is $10 and to cast a vote is a dollar. The money raised will go to Paws' key programs which includes rescue, spay and neuter, pet therapy and tag your pet program.

We sat down with political analyst Joshua Stockley to discuss this very pivotal election. It's an up-hill battle for Senator Mary Landrieu. Not only are three republicans aggressively seeking her seat, but so are four others from her own party and one libertarian.
